Chemo Comfort Kits
At the Lata Jayanthi Foundation, we know that cancer treatment can be one of the hardest journeys a person will ever face. The Chemo Comfort Kits are our way of bringing light into those long hours. These kits are thoughtfully crafted care packages, designed to put a smile on the faces of patients.
This initiative is deeply personal to us. I watched my mom sit through chemo, masking the pain with her brave smile. But, time after time, the small gestures of compassion and kindness from the nursing staff, would light up the patients’ faces. Small gestures matter and reminded us that the smallest act of comfort can go a long way.
Each Chemo Comfort Kit will be filled with items that bring both some relief and joy, but also provide value to the patient. This includes cozy essentials, activities to pass the time, uplifting treats, and little reminders that someone out there is rooting for them.
We expect to partner with small businesses across the country to fill these kits. Small businesses are the true heart and soul of America, and we are excited to partner with those who pour love and care into each item!
Funding Required?
The required fundraising goal for this initiative is sitting at $5,000.
This amount will fund the first batch of Chemo Comfort Kits and enable us to begin partnerships with local mom and pop stores and treatment centers.
